How do I submit my availability?
Set the hours you can usually work, make one-off changes for single days, and see when a change needs your manager's approval.
Availability tells your manager when you can and cannot work. They see it while building the schedule.
There are two parts:
- Your usual week: the hours you can normally work. It repeats every week.
- One-off changes: single days that are different. You enter them week by week.

Save
Tap Save usual week. A usual week you save starts next Monday. That is usually only days away, so the change normally goes to your manager for approval first and the sheet asks you for a reason; your first usual week is saved directly. "Deadlines and approval" below has the rule. For a day before that Monday, change This week.

Sign in at app.atteny.com and open Availability. My usual week and Just one week are the same two parts. For each day press Add time and set the hours, then choose Available or Unavailable on that stretch, or use All day… for a whole day. Press Save.
Deadlines and approval#
- Each week shows when it closes. Send your availability before then. Later is still accepted and used for scheduling, but if your manager's list had you as missing for that week, it stays that way.
- By default, a change that starts soon is not saved directly: it goes to your manager for approval, and the sheet asks you for a reason. How soon is "soon" is set for your location; 7 days is the usual value. Your first usual week never needs approval. If the phone app asked for your usual week when you first signed in, that one was your first, even if you left every day blank: the next one you save is a change. A one-off change needs approval when its day is that close, even the first time.
- While a change to your usual week is waiting, the usual week cannot be changed again. While single days are waiting, those days cannot be changed again; the rest can. On the web, save the other days on their own: a save that includes a waiting day is refused as a whole.
What your availability does#
- It is not your schedule. A manager who schedules you at a time you marked unavailable gets a warning and, in some companies, has to give a reason. Your real shifts are on the Schedule tab.
- A day you leave empty normally counts as available at any time. Your company can turn that around. On the web, the line above the days says which. On the phone, the Availability card says it while you have set nothing.
- At a time you marked unavailable you normally cannot pick up an open shift or accept a swap.
Need whole days off? That is a time off request, not availability.
