Most weeks look a lot like the one before. Copying takes the shifts from the week immediately before the week you're viewing and re-creates them seven days later — same people, same days, same times — so all you have to do is fix the differences.

Administrators can copy any week. Managers need Allow managers to edit schedules switched on in Settings → Access & permissions, and can only copy shifts at the locations assigned to them.
  1. 1

Open the week you want to fill

Select Schedules in the sidebar and use the arrows to land on the target week — the one you want the shifts in. The source is always the week directly before it.

  2. 2

    Select Copy prev week

Atteny asks you to confirm first, telling you how many shifts it found: Copy 18 shift(s) from last week to this week?

    Check the result

A message reports how many shifts were copied and how many were skipped. The new shifts appear in the grid right away, and each employee gets a single notification for the batch — not one per shift.

What gets copied

Each shift's employee, location, start and end time, Break Minutes, Role and Notes, moved forward exactly one week. Every copy lands as a normal Scheduled shift, ready to be worked.

What doesn't

  • Open shifts. Unassigned shifts are never copied forward — create them again or let Auto-schedule generate fresh ones.
  • Anything that would clash. Copying adds to the target week; it never overwrites or deletes what's already there. If a copy would overlap a shift that person already has, it's skipped and counted in the skipped total.
  • Days already gone. Shifts that would land before today are skipped, so copying into the current week only fills the part still ahead of you.
The button reads Copy prev week (just Copy on a narrow screen). It covers every location you can see — the location switcher in the top bar filters the grid, not the copy.
If your organization uses the Fixed Hours schedule mode, there are no individual shifts to copy — everyone follows their location's operating hours instead.
If you see "No schedules found in the previous week to copy", build one good week by hand — see Building the week — and copy forward from there.
