The verification queue

Review clock-outs Atteny flagged — failed GPS checks, unusually long shifts, too little rest between shifts, and auto-closed shifts.

Most clock-outs are approved automatically. When something looks off, Atteny holds the entry back instead and puts it in Pending Checkout Verifications — a card at the top of Timesheets (Records tab) and on your Dashboard. Nothing is counted or approved until you act on it.

Only administrators and managers see this card. Managers see verifications for the locations they manage; an admin can widen that in Settings → Access & permissions.

What lands here

  • A failed GPS check on clock-in — the person was outside their location's radius and asked for approval instead of retrying. They can leave a short note.
  • A failed GPS check on clock-out — same thing at the end of the shift, with the note they typed.
  • A shift longer than your maximum — set under Settings → Time & attendance → Maximum shift length. The clock-out still works; it just isn't auto-approved.
  • Too little rest since the last shift — the Minimum rest between shifts threshold in the same place.
  • An auto-closed shift — nobody clocked out, so Atteny closed it and tags the entry Auto-closed.

Clearing an entry

  1. 1

    Read the context

Each row shows the employee, the location, the clock-in and clock-out times, their note, and the scheduled end time — so you can tell a genuine long shift from a forgotten clock-out.

  2. 2

Approve, or fix the time first

Select Approve if the times are right. If they aren't, select Edit, correct the date and time, add manager notes, then select Approve with Changes.

Approving a flagged clock-in simply lets the shift run — the person is now properly clocked in. Approving a flagged clock-out approves the timesheet outright, so it won't come back in Reviewing and approving timesheets. Either way the employee gets a notification telling them what you decided.

The card sits above the timesheet table, so you see it every time you open Timesheets.
Auto-closed entries are the ones that most often need an edited time — see Forgotten clock-outs.
