Updating the app

Something in the app looks out of date — yesterday's hours still on the home screen, or a change your admin announced that you can't find anywhere. It's nearly always one of three things, in this order.

1. Pull down to refresh

Your data is live, so a screen that's genuinely behind is rare — but the fastest check costs a second. Home, Schedule, Timesheets, Shift swaps and the team screens all refresh when you drag down from the top of the list. If the numbers correct themselves, nothing was wrong.

2. Close the app fully, then reopen it

Atteny ships small improvements without you installing anything. The app looks for one every time it starts, downloads it quietly in the background, and runs it the next time you open the app.

So it takes a real restart, not just switching away: swipe Atteny off the app switcher, then open it again. If it still looks the same, do that once more — the first launch is what fetches the update, the second is what runs it.

3. Check which version you're on

Open More → Settings, and under ACCOUNT you'll see an App Version row with a number like 1.0.1.

That's the version you have installed. Background updates don't change it, so it's the right thing to quote when you ask for help — but not a way to tell whether the latest improvements have landed.

Occasionally that installed version has to change, and then a restart isn't enough: you install the app again. The apps aren't listed on the App Store or Google Play yet, so there's nothing to search for — your admin will pass on an install link, the same kind you used the first time. After reinstalling, open More → Settings → Send a test notification once, so your phone re-registers for alerts (why).

Still not right?

Then it probably isn't the version. A feature that isn't there at all is more likely switched off for your company (Modules) or not available to your role (Roles and permissions). Missing people or locations is usually location scoping.
